The installation of four garage doors is a pretty ordinary job for us. But, this one stands out, as the project consisted of the survey and installation of two sectional doors, and two roller garage doors!
Initially, four new garage doors were required, and the client requested three sectionals and one roller door. However, the location of a doorway inside meant that one of the garage doors specified could not have tracks, as they would be walked into! So, rather than a sectional, a roller door was opted for. This is thanks to the vertically-rolling curtain that wraps around itself above the entrance, with no tracks necessary.
The one roller door was to be located at the end, beside the three sectionals. However, it was decided that the beautiful image of the property should be upheld, so two roller garage doors were to be fitted either end of the sectionals, creating an overall more symmetrical look!
Despite the different door mechanisms, all four doors were manufactured with a Golden Oak finish for that much-desired visual co-ordination. It also adds an element of warmth with its timber-esque finish, lending itself to the traditional style of the property.
Plus, both the roller doors and sectionals were manufactured by Hormann, the industry-leaders that boast the very best in German engineering, ensuring top quality is achieved across the entirety of the project. The sectionals and roller doors both offer insulation to keep heating costs down, with electric operation as simple as pressing a button via remote control handset.
